Job summary

Carlile seeks a Full-Time Individual Contributor in Anchorage, AK to position trailers, flatbeds and other equipment to move freight through the terminal. You will operate safely, inspect equipment, and assist in loading and unloading.

Responsibilities include spotting trailers, securing cargo, and supporting maintenance. A high school diploma, 3–5 years driving experience with Class A CDL HazMat preferred. You’ll work in an external environment with variable weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Three to five years driving experience; hostler experience preferred.
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred.

• Operate safely and in compliance with HSSE policies and procedures.
• Inspect truck and trailer for defects and submit condition reports.
• Spot trailers to the warehouse and assist with loading/unloading.
• Position equipment for repair and maintenance.
• Ensure cargo is secured for transport when closing trailers.

Salary Range: $23.90 To $37.00 Hourly

This position is responsible for positioning trailers, flatbeds and other equipment in support of moving freight through the terminal.

• Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and procedures
• Inspects truck and trailer for defects and submits reports indicating their condition
• Spots trailers to the warehouse, assist in loading and unloading trailers
• Positions equipment for the repair and maintenance department
• Ensures that cargo is secured for transport when closing trailers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Certifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Three to five years driving experience; previous hostler experience preferred
• Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred
