The James on James Island, Charleston, seeks a warm, professional Host to greet guests and manage seating with care. Weekend availability, including Sundays, is required, and you will be the first friendly face guests meet in our neighborhood restaurant.

Who We're Looking For:

We're looking for a warm, professional, and organized Host to be the first and lasting impression for our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with genuine hospitality and professionalism
• Manage reservations and walk-ins using a reservation platform
• Communicate wait times clearly and accurately
• Coordinate efficient and thoughtful seating to maximize service flow
• Support the front-of-house team to ensure a smooth guest experience

What You'll Bring:

• Friendly, polished, and guest-focused
• Organized, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable using reservation systems (experience with OpenTable or Resy a plus)
• A team player who communicates clearly and positively
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
