Job summary

Biaggi’s Ristorante Italiano in West Des Moines is seeking an energetic Host to create a welcoming dining experience. You will greet guests, manage reservations, guide seating, and communicate wait times with accuracy.

The role requires friendly, punctual individuals with strong communication and teamwork skills who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and evenings.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, hardworking, team-oriented, punctual and honest.

• Availability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, help guests with reservations, guide them to their tables, give guests accurate wait time estimates

• Answer phones, schedule reservations, side work, station set up, and light restaurant maintenance

Salary Range: $15.00 - $17.00 Hourly

Biaggi's is hiring Hosts to help us create the ultimate dining experience for our guests. If you love serving people and know how to "wow" with your customer service...we want you to be on our team!

Applicants must be friendly, hardworking, team-oriented, punctual, honest, and comfortable with customer service. Must be available to work consistently, always have a positive attitude and be an excellent communicator.

Host Responsibilities

• Greet customers, help guests with reservations, guide them to their tables, give guests accurate wait time estimates
• Provide customers with menus and answer initial questions
• Optimize seating at different tables to ensure even workload for wait staff
• Answer phones, schedule reservations, side work, station set up, and light restaurant maintenance

Host Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
