Job summary

Nudy's Cafes is seeking a friendly Host to join our family-owned restaurant community. You will welcome guests, seat them, and help ensure an exceptional dining experience across our locations in Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. Strong guest communication and teamwork with servers are essential.

Shifts run from 9 am to 2:30 pm daily, with opportunities for growth in a company known for award-winning food, a small-town atmosphere, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred.
• Friendly and customer-focused personality.
• Ability to articulate clear greetings and farewells to guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance.
• Ability to clearly communicate guests’ needs to Servers, Bussers, Managers, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone.
• Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.)

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas
• Provide guests with menus
• Assign patrons to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings
• Inform guests of current promotions and who will be serving them to ensure a smooth handoff to the service staff
• Manage the flow of guests into the dining and bar areas, provide accurate wait times to incoming guests if appropriate
• Operate cash registers to accept payments for food and beverages

Nudy's Cafes is a multi-location restaurant company that has been family owned & operated since opening our first location in 1979. The customer journey is one of our keys to success. Nudy's Cafe is the go-to casual breakfast & lunch location that provides quick, reasonably priced & freshly prepared meals in a family friendly environment. We currently operate in soon to be 16 locations across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties . We have positioned ourselves to expand further throughout the Delaware Valley.

Customers come in and experience our award-winning food, dedicated staff & small town hospitality. We are actively hiring for full time and part-time Host's, for our front of the house in all of our locations across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. We utilize a multiunit hiring policy to assist in covering staffing gaps across the organization.
