Overview

The Host is responsible for the initial guest interaction, welcoming visitors, and setting a positive tone for their experience. This role embodies the hospitality, charm, and professionalism of our organization. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, answering phones, directing guests to the bar, lounge, or restrooms, and maintaining service flow throughout the dining area. The ideal candidate is pleasant, conscientious, professional, and driven to deliver excellent customer service. Effective teamwork, clear communication, and ensuring smooth service are essential.

Responsibilities

1. Greet all guests and provide responsive, professional, and gracious service at all times.
2. Answer questions about the menu, food items, wine list, or other inquiries.
3. Seat guests at their tables with hospitality and courtesy.
4. Answer phones and handle reservations.
5. Maintain cleanliness at the restaurant entrance and workstation.
6. Act with integrity and promote the values of TableOne Hospitality.
7. Operate efficiently within the restaurant, demonstrating respect, friendliness, professionalism, teamwork, patience, awareness, compassion, courtesy, and initiative.
8. Understand all programs, procedures, standards, and training materials thoroughly.
9. Represent the restaurant professionally through effective communication and cooperation with all partners.

Qualifications

1. 1-2 years of upscale restaurant and bar experience, including at least 1 year in a dining room setting with knowledge of fine dining service procedures.
2. Previous experience as a host is preferred.
3. Strong organizational skills, cleanliness, and the ability to work well in a team are crucial.
4. Knowledge of food and wine is a plus.
5. Professional and pleasant phone demeanor.
6. Impeccable grooming, good hygiene, proper posture, and adherence to uniform/dress code are required.
