Every detail matters, and every interaction contributes to the atmosphere that defines our brand.

We are passionate about hospitality professionals who understand that exceptional service goes beyond execution. Our team members are polished, confident, engaging, and genuinely invested in creating meaningful connections with guests. They anticipate needs, create memorable experiences, and contribute to an environment where every guest feels welcomed, valued, and excited to return.

About the Opportunity

A Host at Drake’s Hollywood plays an essential role in creating the first impression of the guest experience. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, Hosts help set the tone for the energy, hospitality, and elevated service that define our brand.

We are not simply looking for restaurant experience. We are looking for individuals who understand how to create memorable experiences and make genuine connections with guests. Whether your background comes from upscale dining, luxury hotels, private clubs, nightlife, concierge services, premium retail, wellness, or another polished guest‑facing environment, we value individuals who are confident, engaging, and naturally hospitable.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high‑energy environment where presentation, attention to detail, and emotional intelligence matter. Successful Hosts are warm and welcoming, communicate with poise, anticipate guest needs, and help create an atmosphere that feels vibrant, sophisticated, and unforgettable from the moment a guest arrives.

Core Responsibilities
  • Own the first and last impression of every guest’s experience
  • Greet guests with warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality
  • Build meaningful guest relationships by learning names, preferences, and creating memorable interactions
  • Manage reservations, waitlists, walk‑ins, and dining room flow with confidence and precision
  • Utilize RESY to oversee reservations, guest notes, private bookings, events, and special requests
  • Review guest profiles prior to service to support a highly personalized hospitality experience
  • Answer phones with professionalism, warmth, and polished communication
  • Strategically seat guests to balance pacing, service flow, and overall dining room experience
  • Communicate clearly and collaboratively with managers, servers, and support staff throughout service
  • Maintain composure, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
  • Support opening, closing, and side‑work responsibilities to maintain an organized and polished host stand
Requirements
  • At least 18 years old
  • Experience in a client‑facing role where hospitality, presentation, and guest relationships were held to a high standard preferred
  • Backgrounds in fine dining, luxury retail, boutique fitness, hotels, concierge services, nightlife, wellness, or similar guest‑focused environments are highly valued
  • Professional and polished written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal presence
  • Naturally hospitable, detail‑oriented, organized, and highly collaborative
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to professionalism
  • Familiarity with RESY or similar reservation platforms is a plus, but trainable for the right individual
  • Desire to learn, grow, and develop within a hospitality‑driven organization
  • Certified for food handling as required by state and local agencies
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time

  • Flexible schedule
  • Professional development and career growth
  • Family Meals
  • Dining discounts at all Vandelay Hospitality Group concepts
  • All Vandelay Hospitality Group restaurants are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 4th of July so our team can celebrate with their friends and family
  • A collaborative, uplifting culture where we take care of our guests by taking care of our people first
