COLD BEERS & CHEESEBURGERS - HIGLEY is seeking a friendly Host to greet guests, manage seating, and provide exceptional service as part of a fast-paced restaurant team.

You will coordinate with servers and kitchen staff, maintain a clean entry, and stay updated on daily specials and promotions. Previous hospitality experience and a Food Handlers Certification are a plus; flexible availability including evenings and weekends is required.

Formación

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospitality/customer service experience a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Greet guests with a warm welcome and positive attitude.
• Manage waiting list and seating to maximize capacity and reduce wait times.
• Maintain a clean and organized entrance area for a good first impression.
• Estimate wait times accurately and share updates with guests.
• Assist with reservations and ensure information is recorded correctly.
• Escort guests to tables, present menus, and share daily specials.
• Coordinate with servers/kitchen to ensure smooth table turnover.
• Monitor dining areas and reset tables promptly for new guests.
• Address guest questions and issues, escalating to management when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of menu, ingredients, and allergen information.
• Uphold cleanliness, safety, and health standards throughout the restaurant.
• Support management in improving guest satisfaction and service quality.
• Assist with cashiering duties and processing payments accurately.
• Stay informed about promotions and events to provide accurate information.
• Perform other duties to support restaurant operations.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

As a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing them with a warm welcome and ensuring a smooth dining experience. Your excellent customer service skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Manage the waiting list and seating arrangements to maximize seating capacity and minimize wait times.
• Maintain a clean and organized entrance area, ensuring it is inviting and presentable for guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and accurately estimate wait times, providing them with updates as needed.
• Assist in coordinating reservations, ensuring all relevant information is recorded accurately.
• Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and informing them of daily specials and promotions.
• Collaborate closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and efficient table turnover.
• Monitor dining areas to ensure tables are cleaned and prepared for the next guests in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints, escalating issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergen information.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene throughout the restaurant, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the management team to improve guest satisfaction, resolve conflicts, and implement service enhancements.
• Assist with cashiering duties, including handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately.
• Stay updated on current promotions, events, and offerings to provide accurate information to guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the management team to support the smooth operation of the restaurant.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling guest information and seating arrangements.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including allergen information, is a plus.
• A positive and team-oriented attitude, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certification
• Ability to learn cash register software used by bar or restaurant POS - Aloha, Hot Schedule, Paylocity

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant environment is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying trays, and performing tasks that involve bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift at least 15 pounds.
