Seneca Resorts & Casinos is seeking a Hospitality Shift Manager to oversee SBCC Food & Beverage and Facilities/EVS, ensuring efficient daily operations and staff performance. You will supervise F&B, kitchen, and related departments when the manager is off-site, manage payroll and HR tasks, and drive profitability while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a proactive approach to multi-unit operations, with a focus on service excellence

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High School diploma or its equivalency required.
  • Four years of experience with two years in food and beverage required.
  • Minimum of two years Food and Beverage Supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of all phases of full service dining.
  • Previous customer service experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, coaching, team building and problem solving skills.
  • Must have proficient computer skills.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, fairness and sensibility to customers and employees.
  • Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all Food & Beverage operations and Facilities/EVS, Kitchen and Stewarding functions and staff when Hospitality Manager is not on premises.

  • Assist with hiring, training, recognition, coaching and terminations.
  • Communicate with management and staff about casino activities and events.
  • Advise Hospitality Manager on daily issues; optimize resources for profits.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and liquor license requirements.
  • Meet attendance and regulatory policies; complete required training.

The Hospitality Shift Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the administration and daily operations of the SBCC Food and Beverage and Facilities/EVS departments. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

  1. Responsible for managing and supervising all Food & Beverage operations and Facilities/EVS, Kitchen and Stewarding functions as well as all employees of these departments when the Hospitality Manager is not on premises.
  2. Handle with all administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, filling, personnel maintenance and HR issues for Food and Beverage and Facilities/EVS. Ensure proper staffing levels and work schedules in order to provide a high level of service with minimum labor hours. Evaluate staff performance on a ninety (90) day and annual basis.
  3. Conduct regular cover count, check average, food and beverage costs and projection analysis to maximize profitability.
  4. Responsible for the implementation of the Food and Beverage and Facilities/EVS Policies and Procedures.
  5. Must be able to operate and run multi-unit operations.
  6. Assist with hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations and other personnel related issues.
  7. Communicate regularly with the Food & Beverage Management team and keep them informed on all casino and Food and Beverage activities and events. Communicate regularly with employees and keep them informed on all casino activities and events.
  8. Advise the Hospitality Manager of daily problems and needs; utilize all available resources to maximize profits.
  9. Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines in regards to Serve Safe, Seneca Nation Health codes and Seneca Gaming Corporations Risk Management Department.
  10. Adhere to TIPS Certification and Alcohol Awareness policy.
  11. Ensures compliance with liquor laws and all requirements associated with the property's liquor license.
  12. Responsible for settling all disputes with customers, employees and supervisors.
  13. Cooperate with the Seneca Gaming Authority to ensure proper compliance with all rules and regulations of the Seneca Gaming Corporation.
  14. Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
  15. Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
  16. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  17. Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
  18. Attend all necessary meetings.
  19. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
