Job summary

The Sheraton San Diego Resort is seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property. Patrols, camera monitoring, and rapid response to incidents are core duties essential to maintaining a secure environment.

Candidates should be able to communicate effectively, follow hotel policies, and stay calm under pressure. The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and a willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Understanding hotel mission and goals.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Detail oriented with multitasking ability.
• Must communicate in workplace language; bilingual preferred.
• Excellent communication, follow-up, and organization.
• Physically able to push, pull, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises and monitor surveillance cameras to ensure safety.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies.
• Investigate crimes and maintain accurate records.
• Assist sick or injured guests and staff with safety.
• Enforce hotel policies and report suspicious activities.
• Check alarms and fire equipment; monitor doors and delivery areas.
• Adhere to 4 Keys service standards and SOPs.
• Work with all departments as a cohesive team.
• Flex scheduling including nights, weekends.
