Job summary

Westgate Resorts is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard corporate offices and guest-facing areas while delivering hospitality-driven service. You will manage access points, respond to emergencies, and document safety incidents in line with Westgate’s values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic.

You will maintain a visible security presence, coordinate with public safety partners, and support daily operations across Westgate Lakes and affiliated properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year security, law enforcement, or related experience.
• Valid Unarmed Security Officer license is a plus; assistance provided if needed.
• First Aid, CPR and AED certifications preferred.
• Hospitality or guest service experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems for reports/logs/emails.
• Ability to stay calm and professional in emergencies and exercise good judgment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to police, fire, or medical incidents as first on scene.
• Maintain uniform security presence at company interests.
• Manage entry/exit points at properties.
• Monitor security systems and fire alarm panels as required.
• Conduct safety inspections per policy and procedures.
• Maintain activity records, checklists, and logs.
• Write detailed incident reports using computer and email.
• Assist public safety officers as needed.
• Perform key control and related duties.
• Support management with additional tasks within policy.
