Job summary

Omni Hotels & Resorts in Oklahoma City seeks a skilled Painter to maintain public areas, guest rooms and corridors, ensuring safety and high standards of appearance. You will perform painting, wallpaper and plastering tasks, follow Omni CARE preventive maintenance guidelines, and assist engineers as needed.

The role requires experience in commercial painting, flexibility for nights/weekends/holidays, and strong guest interaction skills to support a courteous hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a commercial painter required.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Able to brush, roll, spray and work on different textures.
• Capable of patching, floating and repairing damaged surfaces.
• Proficient with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
• Able to apply caulk.
• Willing to work based on business and occupancy levels including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to interact with hotel guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering.
• Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program.
• Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
• Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
• Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
• Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
• Respond to all requests.
• Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
• Keep all work areas clean.
