Compass Group in Charlotte, NC is offering a Student Success Intern starting in August. This paid internship pays $19.00 per hour with a flexible schedule aligned to class commitments.

The role includes exposure to hospitality operations, catering and event support, and day-to-day management tasks across FOH/BOH functions, plus marketing activities. Interns will rotate across departments to gain hands-on experience and develop teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Hospitality, Business, Culinary, Marketing, or a related program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eager to learn and rotate across departments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hospitality/POS systems is a plus
• Flexible schedule; some evening/weekend availability may be required

Responsibilities

• Hospitality Operations – Learn food safety protocols, train across multiple food service stations, assist in menu planning, and cost control.
• Catering & Events – Support setup, menu planning, ordering, and client interaction; participate in BEO meetings; learn CaterTrax software.
• Operations Management – Shadow FOH and BOH managers, lead pre-service meetings, review operational standards, assist with scheduling and labor reporting.
• Marketing & Promotions – Conduct marketing audits, plan and promote events, manage social media content, support meal plan marketing.
