Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management is seeking a Laundry Attendant to assure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry to provide laundry services to our guests.

The hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so shifts and start times vary. You will sort, iron, fold, and distribute laundry while upholding safety rules and cleanliness standards, with physical duties including lifting and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.

Responsibilities

• Sort stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard.
• Operate ironing and folder machines and process cleaned articles.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack by type and size; place in distribution areas.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters.
• Use cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations.
• Check the working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize consumption.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Restock work areas for next shift.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures.
• Utilizes protective equipment.
• Reports unsafe conditions to management.
• Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to management.
• Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
• All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
• Perform any related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
• Assists other Housekeeping Personnel when need.
