Job summary

MCR in New York City is seeking an Analyst to support the Investments, Analytics & Development team in hospitality real estate investing, including financial analysis, market research, due diligence, and portfolio analytics for MCR’s owned hotels.

Based in the New York corporate office, the analyst will prepare pro forma models, assist with due diligence, analyze portfolio performance, and help prepare investment memoranda for senior partners, with strong Excel and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Hospitality, Real Estate, or Finance is preferred
• 0-2 years of experience in hospitality real estate investing preferred
• Experience researching, analyzing and drawing conclusions from market data and real estate trends
• Familiarity with hospitality industry financial statements and data sources is preferred
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial analysis of investment opportunities, including pro-forma models
• Assist with due diligence for potential investments
• Analyze portfolio investment performance and conduct market research
• Prepare investment memoranda and assist senior professionals with presentations
• Support communication and negotiation with investors, partners, consultants, and the public sector
