Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an Architectural Designer in Austin, TX for a respected hospitality group with a design-forward approach. The role offers a hybrid work environment and the chance to work on hospitality and restaurant projects with leadership involvement.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of design or drafting experience in hospitality, proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, and strong Adobe Creative Suite skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of design or drafting experience in hospitality, commercial, or retail settings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable interpreting hand sketches and seeking clarification.
• Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
• Experience with procurement is required.
• Must be based in Austin, TX with availability for periodic in-person meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Create architectural drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and concept plans.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, and detailed technical drawings in AutoCAD or Revit.
• Coordinate updates, repairs, and additions for operating restaurant locations.
• Support documentation and design phases for new projects.
• Conduct site visits to gather field measurements and assess existing conditions.
• Participate in project review meetings and collaborate with team members in person.
• Maintain organized drawing sets and efficiently manage project files.
• Work closely with the Director of Design and executive leadership to ensure project success.
