Job summary

Sound Physicians seeks a Program Medical Director to lead the hospitalist program at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role blends clinical duties with leadership, overseeing 14 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers, and coordinating care delivery with hospital leadership.

Expect a mix of clinical shifts and protected administrative time, with visa sponsorship available and a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality metrics, and professional growth within a diverse community.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
• Minimum of two years of hospital medicine leadership experience in an Associate Medical Director or Director-level role.

Responsibilities
