Job summary

UF Jacksonville North Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Nocturnist Hospitalist to join a 21-physician team. The schedule is 7 days on, 7 days off with 11a–11p admit shifts and potential for moonlighting bonuses.

The role includes admitting 10–12 patients on average, supporting utilization management and clinical documentation improvement, and collaborating with leadership on performance initiatives. No procedures required.

Qualifications

• ABIM or ABFM board-certified with hospitalist experience.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• We offer visa sponsorship (H1B/J1) with in-house visa support.

Responsibilities

• Admit on average 10-12 patients.
• Support hospitalist team in utilization management and clinical documentation improvement.
• Collaborate with hospitalist Director on performance initiatives and attend monthly meetings.
• Work in a closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist; no procedures.

Local Team Collaboration:

Qualifications:

• ABIM or ABFM certified with prior hospitalist experience.
• Requires a minimum of one year of recent, previous hospitalist experience. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling:

• 7-days-on, 7-days-off scheduling with flexibility for time off, eg – attend conferences, vacation, etc., and opportunity for moonlighting bonus.
• 11a – 11p admitter shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Admit on average 10-12 patients.
• Help support the hospitalist team’s efforts in utilization management, compliance, clinical documentation improvement, and patient satisfaction at UF Jacksonville North Hospital.
• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives such as length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance.Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.
• Closed ICU with 24/7 Intensivist.
• No procedures.
