Qualifications

• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of employment.
• Completed residency; board certified or board eligible; medical staff privileges.

Responsibilities

• Engages in diagnosis, prevention, or treatment of disease and prescribes treatments as needed.
• Renders medical treatment consistent with professional standards and without regard to payer or demographics.
• Completes accurate records with respect to examinations and procedures using CPT/ICD codes.
• Provides after hours call coverage with other physicians as required.
• Complies with standards of medical practice, payors, and accreditation organizations.
• Maintains continuing medical education to meet certification/licensing requirements.
• Participates in non-revenue activities supporting Prisma Health's vision and mission.
• Responds to proposals for managed care contracts and participates in quality programs.
• Assists in obtaining licenses, permits, and accreditation standards relevant to practice.
