Job summary

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) seeks to hire a Physician Hospitalist to join an established Hospital Medicine team in Auburn, California. The role features a Hybrid/Open ICU, a 7 AM-5 PM day rounding schedule, and a base guarantee of $323,930 with additional productivity, quality bonuses, and sign-on incentives.

Applicants must be board certified/eligible in Hospital Medicine, possess California licensure, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Eligible in Hospital Medicine.
• Strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and team-based practice.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Open to FM-trained candidates with demonstrated ICU comfort (when applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care as part of the Hospital Medicine team.
• Assist in a Hybrid/Open ICU environment and manage ICU during designated hours.
• Perform central lines and intubations as needed.
• Coordinate care with specialty services and 24/7 consultants.
