Job Summary

As a Nocturnist on our Hospitalist team, you'll practice in a well-supported environment with closed ICU coverage, dedicated procedure support, and the option to teach internal medicine residents. Position Highlights

• Specialty: Nocturnist / Hospital Medicine
• Setting: Full‑time, employed position based at St. Joseph's Hospital, Tucson, AZ
• Schedule: Shift‑based block scheduling — 7 on / 7 off with some schedule flexibility
• Team Structure: Supported by 1 swing shift physician, 2 APPs during the day, and 1 APP overnight
• Patient Volume: Average census of 18 patients with 1–2 admissions per shift
• ICU: Closed ICU with procedure support provided by Intensivists and IV Team
• Teaching: Optional opportunity to teach internal medicine residents
• Language: Spanish‑speaking skills a plus, but not required

Established in 1961, St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson is home to the Carondelet Neurological Institute and the Carondelet Joint Replacement Center.
