Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, WA seeks a Hospitalist to join our dynamic team. You will admit, round, and discharge patients, provide thorough assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans within a patient-centered, collaborative culture.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, follow evidence-based protocols, and document care in EPIC with timely charting and billing. We offer a base salary with wRVU productivity, an annual bonus, plus sign-on and relocation

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted license in Washington state.
• Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority for the practice.
• Strong clinical diagnostic skills and excellent communication.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care for all patients.
• At least one year of Hospital Medicine experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate acute and chronic conditions following evidence-based protocols.
• Treat acute deteriorations and provide cross-coverage for the daytime hospitalist team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including specialists, care coordinators, and social workers.
• Ensure timely, accurate charting and billing in the hospital EPIC system.
• Provide and document direct treatment, including medications, referrals and follow-ups.
• 182 twelve-hour shifts per year.
