Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a hospitalist to join the North Fresno team. The role involves inpatient care, collaboration with cardiac, vascular, and bariatric surgeons, and a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off. ACLS is required, and board eligibility is acceptable.

We are hiring for a hospitalist position. Candidates must be comfortable rounding and admitting patients during their shift.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join a team of 6 physicians at Fresno Heart and Surgical Center.

• Work alongside Cardiac, Vascular, and Bariatric surgeons in providing the highest level of care to patients within a 48-bed specialty care hospital. Here you will become an integral member of the hospital and community.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.

• Board certified/board eligible in internal medicine or family medicine.

• A minimum of two years of hospitalist experience is required.

Flexible Scheduling:

• Day shift hours are 7 am - 7 pm. Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.

• This is a full or part-time position. Full-time preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inpatient care for patients receiving care in an environment that requires and promises an elevated patient experience.

• Work very closely with surgeons and surgical teams in caring for pre-and post-surgical adult patients of all ages.

• No procedures required.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.

• Collaborate with the hospitalist Director on performance improvement initiatives, including length of stay, readmissions, and regulatory compliance. Participate in monthly hospitalist team meetings.

• Focus on delivering high-quality care while benefiting from a flexible schedule, allowing for time with family, friends, and personal interests.

• Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

• Utilize the Epic EMR system.

• Annual compensation up to $315,000 - $385,000, based on the number and type of shifts worked.
