Job summary

Sound Physicians is seeking a Hospital Medicine Physician for Amarillo, Texas, offering a part-time schedule with a 7-day stretch each month. The team includes 10 physicians and supportive APPs, with in-house licensing, credentialing, and immigration sponsorship.

The role operates within an academic hospital with an EMR Cerner system. The position features day and night shift rates, RVU and quality bonus opportunities, and full benefits including CME allowance.

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in family or internal medicine.
• We provide in-house licensing, and credentialing support.
• In-house Immigration support and we can sponsor HHS J1 candidates.

Responsibilities

• Average census of 18-19 per doctor.
• Rapids are managed by residents.
• Swing APP will be on until 11pm and will help cover admissions and cross call.
• Strong vascular team for PICC line, and great RT team for intubations.
• Our EMR is Cerner.

Local Team Collaboration:

• We take pride in our well-established team at Northwest Medical Center of 10 physicians and 2 advanced practice providers (APP), with the support of a clinical performance nurse, a clinical performance associate, and a group coordinator.
• Work alongside a diverse group of professionals with backgrounds from all over the world. We are an integral part of our hospital community and a valued strategic partner, maintaining great relationships with hospital leadership and other physician groups.
• This is an academic hospital, and we manage the internal medicine residency program.

Rewards and Compensation:

• Day Shift Rate of $1,750 and Night Shift Rate of $2,000.
