Job summary

Lifespan in Newport, Rhode Island is seeking a qualified physician to provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate patient records and demonstrating clinical competence.

This per diem role requires an MD/DO with a valid license to practice in Rhode Island. Ideal candidates will also possess relevant board certifications and a DEA license. The work shift is variable based on patient needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized medical school.
• Must have a valid medical license.
• Board certification in specialty is required.

Education

Graduate of an approved medical (allopathic or osteopathic), dental or podiatric school.

MD/DO with a valid unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of Rhode Island.

Board certified or Board eligible as required.

Federal Narcotics DEA license required as applicable.

Demonstrated clinical competence and physical and mental status sufficient to provide quality care to patients.

Clinical privileges in the physician's specialty required for hospital owned and operated practice.

Summary

Responsible for providing patients with care at the current level of quality and efficiency generally recognized by appropriate practice standards and guidelines applicable to facilities such as the hospital in the physician's area of specialty. Responsible for preparing and completing in a timely fashion all medical and other required patient records.
