Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Hospitalist) for a full-time position in Kaufman, TX. You will work with hospitalists to evaluate, diagnose and treat a diverse patient population in the inpatient setting.

The role requires Texas licensure as an Acute Care NP, ACLS certification, and at least 2 years of NP or RN ICU/CVICU experience. Join a team focused on quality care and EMR-driven documentation.

Qualifications

• Active licensed Texas Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.
• ACLS certification required.
• 2 years NP or RN ICU/CVICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&Ps and follow-ups.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for medical illnesses.
• Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
• Round on rehabilitation and long‑term acute care patients.
• Document using the EMR and participate in quality improvement processes.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P's & follow-up visits.
• Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses.
• Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions
• Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients
• Document using EMR system.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.

IF YOU:

• Enjoy working Night Shift 3pm-3am
• Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making
• Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• ACLS certification
• 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU required.
