Job summary

Texas Health Physicians Group in southwest Fort Worth, Texas, seeks a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for a full-time role. You will work closely with hospitalists to evaluate, diagnose and treat a variety of patients, with rounds on rehab patients and documentation in an EMR system.

Requirements include Texas-licensed Acute Care NP and ACLS, plus 2 years of NP or RN ICU/CVICU experience. The NP reports to the supervising physician and participates in CME requirements to maintain licensure.

Qualifications

• Texas licensed Acute Care NP with ACLS certification.
• 2 years of NP or RN experience in ICU/CVICU.
• Graduate of accredited Advanced Nursing Program and Texas RN license.
• Ability to work day shift 7a-7p, 7 days on/7 days off.

Responsibilities

• Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&Ps and follow-up visits.
• Initiate appropriate treatment and testing for medical illnesses.
• Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions.
• Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients.
• Document using EMR system.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement processes.
