Job summary

Software Placement Group is assisting a hospital system in Dothan, AL in recruiting Internal Medicine physicians for a Hospitalist Nocturnist role. The position focuses on round-the-clock care for unassigned inpatients within a trauma and stroke center setting.

You will admit and coordinate with intensivists, manage CDU patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary inpatient team. A minimum of 12 night shifts per month is required with no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Possession of or eligibility for an Alabama Medical License.
• Strong clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for unassigned patients presenting to the Emergency Department requiring inpatient treatment.
• Admit and collaborate with intensivists for critical care patients, with no procedural requirements.
• Manage patients within a Clinical Decision Unit and support inpatient consultations.
• Work alongside 24/3 pulmonary and critical care support, with round-the-clock access to subspecialty expertise.
• Engage with multidisciplinary teams in a robust inpatient medical service.
• Work a minimum of 12 shifts per month with flexible scheduling.
• No on-call duties required.

What you'll do
