Job summary

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network in Center Valley operates a 76-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital delivering high-level care for stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury and other serious conditions. The campus emphasizes innovation through The Experience Center, advanced technologies, and a patient-centered care model that drives recovery and independence.

• Doctorate degree (MD) required.
• Residency training and clinical experience in the designated population required.
• Board Certified/Board Qualified in population served, required.
• Physician's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical support and leadership to the rehabilitation unit.
• Collaborate on research to advance care and outcomes for patients with disabilities.
• Attend CME's and support clinical activity.
• Provide educational supervision to residents or medical students.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
• Performs procedures as needed.

This position will be located at Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network's state-of-the-art, 76-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital which revolutionizes treatment and recovery options for people with complex medical conditions, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury and other serious injuries or illnesses. The four-story, 123,000-square-foot facility on Center Valley Parkway features all private rooms and offers world-class physical rehabilitation care to patients who are recovering from complex and catastrophic conditions.

One of the most novel and exciting spaces to spur innovation in Good Shepherd’s new hospital is The Experience Center. This first-of-its-kind space will give people with disabilities and other mobility challenges an environment where they can explore the latest advancements, like 3D printing, robotics, wearables, artificial intelligence and smart home and personal assistance devices, designed to promote healing and independence and make people’s lives better.

Job Summary

• To provide state of the art rehabilitation care for Good Shepherd patients and support the Good Shepherd Mission.

Essential Functions

• CONTRIBUTES TO THE FINANCIAL HEALTH OF THE GROUP
• By covering direct expenses.
• PROVIDES MEDICAL SUPPORT AND/OR LEADERSHIP TO THE REHABILITATION UNIT
• PROVIDES LEADERSHIP IN DEVELOPMENT OF GOOD SHEPHERD RELATIONSHIPS IN THE COMMUNITY
• PERFORMS MEDICAL PROCEDURES AS NEEDED
• COLLABORATES AND SUPPORTS RESEARCH WHICH ADVANCES THE CARE AND OUTCOMES OF PATIENTS WITH DISABILITIES
• ATTENDS CME'S
• To support clinical activity.
• PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL SUPERVISION
• To any assigned residents or medical students.
• PERFORMS DUTIES
• That may incur contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials.
• DEMONSTRATES THE SKILLS
• In understanding the range of treatment and knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the age of the patients served.
• IMPLEMENTS AND CREATES A QUALITY VISION
• To improve the organization and all of those served.
• PERFORMS ALL OTHER TASKS
