Job summary

Northeast Healthcare Recruitment seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hospitalist for a full-time role in Richmond, Indiana. The physician will handle admissions, daily rounds, and discharge management in a collaborative hospital medicine environment, supported by two day-shift APPs.

The position offers a balanced 7-on/7-off schedule with no call responsibilities and no required procedures, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board certification must be obtained within five years of residency completion.
• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility through the IMLC.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required if requesting conscious sedation privileges.
• Two to three years of inpatient medicine experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain required certifications and meet professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and admit patients requiring inpatient medical care.
• Conduct daily rounds and manage ongoing treatment plans.
• Coordinate discharges, including follow-up care and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with APPs, nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Review diagnostic results and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support continuity of care throughout the hospital stay.
