Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking collaborative hospitalists to join an inpatient team rotating at Utah Valley Hospital and affiliated sites. The role includes teaching residents and medical students, with teaching responsibilities and a strong emphasis on patient care and system-wide quality goals.

You will work primarily at Utah Valley Hospital with rotations at Spanish Fork Hospital, Orem Community Hospital, and Tele-Hospitalist services.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine completed or in progress.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine is required or anticipated.
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license (or ability to obtain one) and successful credentialing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct inpatient care on an inpatient team with nursing coordination support.
  • Participate in teaching service to educate residents and medical students.
  • Rotate across Utah Valley Hospital and affiliated sites, including Tele-Hospitalist coverage as needed.

Hospitalist (Internal Medicine)

About this role:
We are searching for collaborative hospitalists to join an inpatient team rotating at Utah Valley Hospital.
  • This position includes a $15,000 starting bonus, relocation assistance (determined by distance), and a Value Recognition Payment up to $20,000 annually based on meeting quality goals, thoughtful stewardship of our healthcare system, and achieving high standards in performance reviews as they relate to citizenship.

  • This is a great opportunity to provide direct inpatient care with the assistance of a nurse coordinator

  • Hospitalist will be expected to participate in our teaching service to provide clinical education to residents and medical students.

  • As a 501c3 organization, our caregivers are eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)

  • You will practice primarily at Utah Valley Hospital with regular rotations required at Spanish Fork Hospital, Orem Community Hospital, and with the Tele-Hospitalist service.

  • While this is classified as a day shift opportunity, a balance of swing and night shifts will also be necessary though the majority of nights will be staffed by Nocturnists.

What you’ll bring:
  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

  • Residency training Internal Medicine

  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine

  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one

  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process

  • Current BLS Certification is required before the first day of employment
