Job summary

The Society of Critical Care Medicine is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. This role offers a competitive salary of $285,000 per year and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) matching.

Responsibilities include inpatient diagnosis and treatment, managing discharge planning, and participation in a Rapid Response Team. Candidates must be MD or DO degree holders and board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

CommonSpirit Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Internal Medicine Hospitalist to join our well‑established hospital‑employed group.

• Schedule: 7 on / 7 off shifts (7am - 7pm), Tuesday to Monday, with physician swing shift coverage until midnight.
• Focus: Inpatient care for adults; no pediatrics, obstetrics, or trauma; Rapid Response Team handles codes; no after‑hours call.
• Support: Reasonable census; closed ICUs staffed by intensivists.
• Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, treat, prescribe, order/interpret tests, and manage discharge planning for inpatients.
• Compensation: Competitive base salary, commencement bonus, quality incentive bonus, and longevity bonus.

Pay Range

$285,000 – $285,000 per year.
