TheCardiology Division and Corrigan Minehan Heart Center at the Massachusetts General Hospital are seeking applications from board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine/cardiologists for a faculty position emphasizing clinical care for hospitalized patients. This position is at the level of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor of Medicine. The selected applicant will join a highly functioning, successful inpatient team of nurse practitioners, trainees, and cardiologists at the MGH. Broadexpertisein the clinical care of medicine patients is ideal. This role is a 12-hour/shift hospitalist caring for cardiology patients and will include both day shifts and night shifts.
Our mission as an inpatient service is to provide comprehensive care to ourpatientsand families,in order tomeet their needs, as well as those of our interdisciplinary care providers. The inpatient team ensures the care is highqualityand patient centered and collaborates to the highest degree while producing an evidence base to make the health care environment safer, higher quality, and more affordable. The role will encompassroughly 15shifts/month at our MGH Boston location. The candidate will be expected toparticipatein the academic and educational missions of the MGH and MGH Corrigan Minehan Heart Center. The position will protect time for academic pursuits.
