St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA is seeking a Hospitalist to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized adults. You will participate in admissions, rounds, and discharge planning, coordinating with specialists and the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for hospitalized adult patients, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with specialists, nursing, case management, and ancillary teams to develop patient-centered care plans.
• Respond to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and department activities.
• Work within a 7-on/7-off schedule with 12-hour mid-day shifts (10:00 AM - 10:00 PM) and 15 shifts per month.
