Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Luling is seeking a Unit Secretary to handle nursing unit communication, receptionist duties, patient records, and order transcription. The role supports physicians and the nursing team in a busy hospital environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, certification as a Unit Secretary preferred, and some experience in a medical setting with office equipment. Full-time benefits are provided.

Responsibilities

The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication. Functions include serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, and transcribing and communicating physician orders as well as maintaining order at the nursing station. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a Unit Secretary preferred.
• Experience: None required. Previous work experience in a medical environment preferred. Experience with office equipment desirable.
