Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a Supply Technician at the Corporal Michael J.

Crescenz VA Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA to stock wards, clinics, operating rooms, and storage areas with sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets, and equipment. The position requires specialized experience at the GS-4 level or eligible education substitutions, including a current state driver's license and the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience includes providing supplies and material to clinical and/or administrative areas of a facility
• Scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing and distributing supplies, instruments and other material
• Pulling stock, replenishing stock and maintaining records on stock levels
• Monitoring expiration dates
• Cleaning assigned areas in accordance with regulations and policy
• Utilizing an automated system to maintain inventory
• Answering customer questions regarding supplies and materials

Responsibilities

• Provide wards, clinics, operating rooms, secondary storage locations, and other hospital facilities with supplies and material including sterile and non-sterile medical supplies, instrument sets and equipment
