Job summary

TSP, a Syneos Health company, is seeking a Hospital Specialty Representative to drive territory growth by presenting products, educating healthcare professionals on value, and engaging diverse hospital stakeholders.

You will build relationships within hospitals, deliver clinical information, and collaborate across a matrixed sales organization to ensure aligned execution and business success.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• 5+ years of demonstrated sales experience in pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience calling on hospitals and health systems.
• Strong understanding of hospital decision-making processes and formulary management.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within geography, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage hospital relationship - engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand unique customer needs & priorities.
• Provide scientific and clinical information within the disease state area and approved product.
• Deliver sales presentations to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other clinic personnel using customer engagement selling model.
• Effectively utilize and manage all resources to optimize customer engagement.
• Collaborate across a matrixed sales organization with cross-functional stakeholders to drive execution and business success.
• Participate in training and development programs while following industry and corporate policies.

TSP is engaged in a direct hire search for a pharmaceutical company seeking a Hospital Specialty Representative to drive territory growth by delivering compelling product presentations and educating healthcare professionals on the value of the products features and benefits.

The Successful Hospital Specialty Representative Will

• Manage hospital relationship - engaging clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand unique customer needs & priorities
• Providing scientific and clinical information within the disease state area and approved product.
• Delivering sales presentations of approved products to physicians, APPs, medical staff, and other appropriate clinic personnel by utilizing customer engagement selling model
• Effectively utilize and manage all resources to optimize customer engagement
• Collaborate effectively across a highly matrixed sales organization, partnering closely with Organized Provider Account Directors, Reimbursement Managers, and other cross-functional stakeholders to drive aligned execution and business success.
• Participation in training and development programs while abiding by all industry and corporate policies and procedures

Essential Requirements

• BA/BS degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within assigned geography, including overnight travel.
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience and proven sales success in pharmaceutical/medical/biotech industry.
• 3+ years demonstrated experience calling on hospitals and health systems.
• Strong understanding of hospital decision-making processes, clinical pathways, formulary management, and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight travel.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Desired Requirements

• Consistent record of top-tier sales performance and proven product launch success.
• Demonstrated success driving demand generation within hospitals.
• Anti-Infective experience preferred.
• Expertise in account selling and managing complex sales processes.
• Deep knowledge of the Health Systems business model, organizational structure, key stakeholder roles and decision-making processes (P&T, formulary, etc.).
• Experience engaging specialist physicians, hospitalists, pharmacists, and pharmacy leadership.
• Experience collaborating across hospital and community care settings.
