Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Six months of experience as security officer in healthcare or related field.
One year of experience as a Security Officer.
Commissioned Security Officer: CA, upon hire.
Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days and
Driver's License: CA, within 30 days.

Responsibilities

Protect staff, patients and visitors by responding to calls for assistance promptly.
Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle and monitor alarms.
Dispatch officers and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Know emergency procedures, equipment and hospital codes.
Report HIPAA breaches; investigate security breaches and write incident reports.
Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching officers.
