Responsibilities

Monitors assigned areas with high visibility of security presence; posts or patrols by foot/vehicle; controls access to buildings and parking areas.
Manages building visitor and materials pass programs; follows hospital and department policies; posts orders and follows job requirements.
Responds to security and emergency situations; assists patients, visitors and staff with escorts, directions and vehicle assists.
Completes and submits security reports and logs during shift; operates security equipment; knows emergency systems and equipment locations.
Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and quality standards.
Promotes professional growth by meeting mandatory education and competency requirements; supports department goals; mentors less experienced staff.
Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of the community by delivering compassionate, safe, and personalized experiences.
Other duties as assigned.
