Job summary

Tarian is seeking a Healthcare Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors and deter illicit activity on hospital property. This full-time role requires vigilance, good judgment, and a customer-service mindset in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualified applicants will pass a background check and drug screen, and must obtain any required licenses. The position involves physical activity, shift work, and may include driving duties as applicable.

Qualifications

• A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required.
• Completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications.
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).

Responsibilities

• You will conduct responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
• Our Healthcare Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
