Henry Ford Providence Hospitals seeks a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will monitor for threats, respond promptly to incidents, document events, and assist with alarms and emergency drills as required.

Responsibilities include information support, safety promotion, and safe vehicle operation when needed. Relevant licenses and certifications are valued to support ongoing security operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• 3 years security, law enforcement, military or fire experience.
• Driver's License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles required.
• Michigan Concealed Pistol License required.
• BLS Provider preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Law Enforcement preferred. - Management of Aggressive Behavior credentialed preferred.
• Security Professional preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates, documents and manages security incidents and hazards.
• Maintains knowledge/follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. May facilitate planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.
• Operates a vehicle safely when required to avoid accidents and violations.
