Job summary

Wooded Glen Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated Security Guard to protect clients, staff, and premises. The role involves patrolling buildings and grounds, monitoring entrances, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

You will maintain logbooks, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with leadership to maintain safety. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years in security, corrections, or military service, with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• Two+ years security, corrections, or military experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• CPR and de-escalation training may be required (training available).

Responsibilities

• Monitor all persons and vehicles entering or leaving facility property.
• Keep accurate logbooks and verify identifications at restricted areas.
• Direct emergency personnel and manage traffic during drills and emergencies.
• Report suspicious activity to leadership and maintain situational awareness.
• Inspect doors, windows, and locks to assess security levels and respond to incidents.
• Guard exits and prevent theft by inspecting parcels and monitoring the area.
