Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Part Time Security Officer for a hospital site in Cleveland, OH. You will perform unarmed security duties, maintain a visible presence, and ensure patient, staff, and visitor safety with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activity according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures while maintaining a professional and customer-focused presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.
