Job summary

Covenant Health in Plainview is seeking an onsite Security Officer to patrol Covenant Hospital Plainview, deter and investigate suspicious activity, and assist patients, staff, and visitors. You will write detailed reports and may detain disruptive individuals for police action when necessary.

The role requires security experience, valid Texas security licenses or registrations within 30 days, and flexibility for driving as needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Security, Law Enforcement, Military, or Police experience, preferably within a hospital or campus environment.
• Texas Non-Commissioned Security Officer license within 30 days of hire OR Texas Private Security Registration within 30 days of hire.
• Driving may be necessary; provide proof of driver license and auto insurance on request.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas of Covenant Hospital Plainview to deter, detect and investigate suspicious activity.
• Provide information and assistance to patients, employees and visitors.
• Write detailed incident reports and other required reports.
• Take and maintain control of disruptive individuals for arrest by police when warranted.
