Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Security Officer to help protect, secure, and promote safety at a hospital campus. The role requires ensuring safe access, reporting hazards, and assisting patients and staff with escorts and directions.

Hours include a Sunday to Tuesday 10 am–10 pm shift and a Wednesday 10 am–4 pm shift. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a Texas commissioned security officer license, valid Texas driver’s license, and CPR/BLS certification within 90

Qualifications

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Must understand and communicate in English effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Proficiency with computers is required and must be able to document activities.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned areas to maximize visibility of security presence.
Control access to buildings and parking areas; report hazards and breaches.
Respond to security and emergency situations and assist patients, visitors, staff.
Complete security reports and logs; operate security equipment.
Adhere to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and time constraints.
Support department goals; mentor less experienced staff where needed.
Provide compassionate, personalized service to patients and colleagues.
