Job summary

Sharp HealthCare is hiring a Hospital Security Guard to provide protective services across facilities. You will patrol on foot or by vehicle, monitor alarms, and respond to emergencies while enforcing safety policies and directing visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma, a California Security Guard Card, and a valid CA driver's license. Prior security or hospital security experience is preferred; duties include incident reporting and parking enforcement.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma or equivalent required.
• California Security Guard Card required by BSIS.
• Driver's license required for operation of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provide protective services to assigned locations, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Patrol hospital premises by foot or vehicle to protect life and property.
• Respond to emergencies; manage access to restricted areas and observe safety hazards.
• Prepare and file incident reports; update electronic records.
• Enforce parking regulations and conduct security rounds 4–6 times per shift.
• De-escalate conflicts when needed and coordinate with others during incidents.
