Job summary

USPI Arizona Specialty Hospital is seeking a Full Time Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors and to maintain a safe environment. The Security Officer works under the Security Supervisor to provide day-to-day operational support within the Hospitality Services Department.

Responsibilities include conducting rounds, logging incidents, responding to alarms, escorting staff and visitors as needed, and participating in ongoing security training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior security experience in hospital settings is preferred.
• English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility for security and functioning of equipment; document issues.
• Maintain security log with detailed shift notes.
• Notify personnel of alarms and document communications.
• Complete rounds and rounding forms.
• Assist with escorting of visitors and staff as needed.
• Prepare shift reports and participate in department training.
