Job summary

Benefis Health System is seeking a security professional to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees and hospital property. You will monitor premises, patrol areas, respond to incidents and assist during emergencies while upholding HIPAA and hospital policies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a Montana Private Security Guard License, a valid MT driver’s license, and BLS certification. Previous security or healthcare security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Current Montana Private Security Guard License required.
• Previous security, law enforcement, military, healthcare security or related experience preferred.
• Valid MT driver's license required.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergency situations and assist with disruptive or combative individuals when necessary.
• Ability to de-escalate tense situations safely and professionally.
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, employees and hospital property.
• Monitor hospital premises and patrol assigned areas.
• Respond to security incidents and assist during emergencies.
• Enforce hospital policies and provide excellent customer service.
• Participate in emergency preparedness activities and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
