• High School Diploma or equivalent and six months healthcare security experience.
• Six months experience in healthcare security setting.
• One year security officer experience.

Responsibilities

• Protect staff, patients, and visitors by responding to calls for assistance in a timely and prudent manner.
• Patrol the facility and grounds by foot or vehicle; monitor security alarms and dispatch officers to locations as needed; report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment, and hospital codes.
• Reports HIPAA breaches if witnessed; investigate security breaches, conducts investigations, and writes incident reports.
• Ensures that all activities are logged; incident reports are clear, concise, legible, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Use appropriate emergency and radio codes in dispatching security officers while knowing hospital campus to ensure dispatches are to the correct location.
