Job summary

UC San Diego Health seeks a Security Agent to protect patients, visitors and staff across UCSD campuses. Under general supervision, you will patrol premises on foot or by vehicle, control access to restricted areas, and respond to alarms while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

This role requires California Guard Registration, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years of security experience, with BART and IAHSS certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• California Guard Registration is required.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record per policy.
• Two (2) years of security or security-related experience.
• BART and IAHSS certification within six months of hire date.
• Ability to adhere to dress code and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and property across UCSD Health Sciences premises.
• Patrol on foot or by vehicle and manage access to restricted areas.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies; assume scene command when needed.
• Observe, report safety hazards and assist Enterprise clientele.
• Handle disruptive persons professionally with minimal use of force.
