We are seeking an experienced Hospital Sales Account Manager to drive growth and strengthen relationships with hospitals across Tennessee and Southeastern Missouri. This position requires proven experience in account acquisition and account management within the wholesale pharmaceutical industry and a passion for making a difference in the healthcare industry.

About The Role

In this role, you’ll be the face of M&D—building trust with existing customers while developing new partnerships that improve healthcare delivery. You’ll combine industry expertise, market insight, and strategic sales skills to expand our footprint and deliver solutions that make a difference for patients and providers.

What You’ll Do

  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with hospital clients
  • Drive new business through prospecting, networking, and market research
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure client success—from proposals to onboarding and ongoing support
  • Provide customer education on new products, policies, and trends
  • Monitor account performance, prepare account reviews, and create territory management plans
  • Representing M&D at industry events, staying ahead of trends, and regulatory change

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • 4+ years of account management or business development experience in healthcare sales, preferably calling on hospital buying departments
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint required)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (20% overnight)
  • Relevant experience or education aligned with the responsibilities of this role

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Prior experience in pharmaceutical distribution sales
  • Knowledge of health systems industry challenges and trends
  • CRM system experience

Salary and Benefits

$85,000 – $95,000 plus new business commissions and annual bonus eligibility
